We recommend introductory accounts for children beginning at about 12 years old.
We encourage talking to your child about the importance of financial responsibility and how to use a debit card. An adult co-owner is ultimately financially responsible for the account so every parent should decide what’s right for their child and family.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
*NJFCU membership requires a $5 minimum deposit. Offer not available to existing NJFCU members or accounts that were closed within the last 90 days. The $25 bonus offer requires membership eligibility. To qualify for an “Achiever” or “Dreamer” account, a Membership Share account must be opened ($5 minimum balance for account opening to be deposited compliments of NJFCU). “Leader” accounts must also open a Checking account. All accounts are subject to approval. The $25 bonus will be awarded at the time of account opening. Accounts must remain open for at least 6 months; otherwise, the $25 bonus will be deducted from the closing account balance. Limit one $25 sign-up bonus per member. This offer may not be combined with other account promotions and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
